The Japanese government intends to implement projects in the environmental area in Azerbaijan, Japanese ambassador to Azerbaijan Masamitsu Oki said.
"The projects in education, agriculture, health care are very important for us. But ecological projects have special importance because Azerbaijan is a developing country. Therefore, there is the impact on the environment," the ambassador said.

A project on waste management in Azerbaijani Ismayilli region and a project to clean a river in Sheki region are implemented with the support of the Japanese government.

"We continue to realize the projects related to the environment, including those associated with the use of renewable energy sources. I would like to emphasize such projects as conducting professional trainings, because participation in these trainings gives people an opportunity to get jobs, such as motor-car or agricultural area. Passing such trainings, they acquire necessary experience," the diplomat added.
