Council of Europe Venice Commission Secretary to arrive in Azerbaijan

Secretary of the Venice Commission of the Council of Europe Thomas Markert will arrive in Azerbaijan on September 24. He will attend a working panel organized jointly with the Supreme Court of Azerbaijan on the procedures of appeal against the election results.

The seminar is included in the list of events organized by the Venice Commission on the eve of parliamentary elections in Azerbaijan. Markert was elected to this post in February, 2010.
