
Director of the Institute for Strategic Studies under the President of Kazakhstan has expressed his country`s keenness to develop relations with Azerbaijan.
Bulat Sultanov held a press conference as he is visiting Baku. “Developing relations with Azerbaijan is of great importance for Kazakhstan.”
Sultanov stressed the importance of strengthening cooperation between Azerbaijan`s and Kazakhstan`s strategic research centers.
“We have reached an agreement to set up a Council of Experts to boost the cooperation between our strategic research centers.”
Sultanov said: “The Council will give proposals on how to develop the cooperation between the governments of Azerbaijan and Kazakhstan, in particular in fighting against terror and illegal drug haul.”
On the Armenia-Azerbaijan Nagorno-Karabakh conflict, he noted: “Kazakhstan supports peaceful settlement of the problem.”
“We are ready to help Azerbaijan in this regard,” Sultanov added.
