American MG OSCE co-chair arrives in Azerbaijan

The American Co-Chair of the OSCE Minsk Group Robert Bradtke has arrived in Baku. Other mediators Bernard Fassier (France) and Igor Popov (Russia) arrived in Azerbaijan’s capital on September 6. The mediators will today meet with the Azerbaijani authorities. Moreover, today they will observe the monitoring on the line of contact in Terter region. The Co-Chairs are expected to cross into the other side of the line of contact during the monitoring.

The main aim of the visit is to discuss details of the fact-finding mission that will be set up to investigate the illegal settlement in occupied Nagorno Karabakh and the surrounding regions. The mediators will hold similar meetings in Yerevan and Khankendi on September 8-9.
