Azerbaijan, Russia expand border cooperation

Azerbaijani State Border Service Chief, commander of border troops, Lieutenant-General Elchin Guliyev held a working meeting with a delegation headed by First Deputy Director of the Federal Security Service, head of the Federal Border Guard Service Vladimir Pronichev, the Azerbaijani Border Service said.

The meeting discussed the operational situation on the Azerbaijani-Russian border, in the Caspian Sea basin and its development tendencies, as well as cooperation between border services of the two countries.

The sides stressed the importance of joint struggle against international terrorism, illegal migration and other illegal actions on the state border.
