"Ukraine, Azerbaijan are strategic partners"

Ukraine and Azerbaijan are strategic partners, Ukrainian Foreign Minister Kostyantyn Hryshchenko has told journalists in Baku.
He said Ukraine was keen to boost overall relations with Azerbaijan.

Hryshchenko said his visit will be topped by discussions on a wide range of bilateral issues.

The FM praised the role of the Azerbaijani community in Ukraine.

“At the same time, tens of thousands of Ukrainians live in Azerbaijan. They regard the country as their second motherland.”

The Baku visit will also see Hryshchenko visit a monument to Taras Shevchenko and meet representatives of the Ukrainian community.
