Azerbaijani former ambassador to Turkey holds farewell meeting with state and governmental officials

Azerbaijani Ambassador to Turkey Zakir Hashimov held a farewell meeting with a number of Turkish state and governmental officials in connection with termination of his term as ambassador.

Ambassador met with the ninth and tenth presidents of Turkey Demirel and Sezer on July 6, the embassy said.

Hashimov met with Deputy Prime Minister Arinc on July 8, Turkish president Abdullah Gul on July 13.

Friendly relations between Turkey and Azerbaijan, maintaining these relations under the principle of "one nation, two states", importance of all joint activities, development of relations in all spheres were stressed during all the meetings.

Hashimov expressed his gratitude to the Turkish side for help and support rendered during his activity in the country and development of relations between the two countries.
