Azerbaijan, U.S consider military and technical cooperation

Military consultations are underway between officials of the two countries in Baku, the U.S. Embassy in Azerbaijan said.

Representatives of the Pentagon and the Azerbaijani Ministry of Defence will discuss a wide range of issues and determine specific cooperation plans for the next year during a two-day meeting, the embassy said.

Deputy Assistant Secretary of Defense Celeste Wallander heads a delegation of the Pentagon at the consultations, which involve the commander of U.S forces in Europe and representatives of the U.S Embassy in Azerbaijan.

Consultations between Azerbaijan and the U.S. are held annually.
