
The Baku Central Police Department will provide Azerbaijani citizens, who need the ID cards, with identity documents, Department's Passports and Identity Cards Registration Service Deputy Head Ali Aliyev said at the news conference today.
"The Registration Service holds exit receptions for citizens, who can not leave the house because of some problems, to provide citizens with identification cards," Aliyev said.
He said the service has moved into an even more enhanced mode under the action plan on the preparations for the elections.
Department's Public Security Service Head Dashgin Mehdiyev said the district police departmet are transferred to enhanced mode to ensure public safety in unauthorized meetings.
Azerbaijan will hold next parliamentary elections on Nov. 7, 2010.
Previous elections were held in November 2005. The elections are held
according to the majority system in 125 constituencies across the
country.
