Baku hosts seminar on 'single window' system

An international seminar on studying Azerbaijan`s model in applying “single window” system started in Baku. The event is financed by Asian Development Bank (ADB) within Central Asia Regional Economic Cooperation (CAREC) Program.

Chairman of Azerbaijan State Customs Committee Aydin Aliyev, representative of the United Nations Economic Commission for Europe Virginia Cram-Martos and other officials made speeches. Mr. Aliyev said the event brought together CAREC member states and representatives of the international organizations.

Aim of the seminar is to study Azerbaijan's experience in applying “single window” system. Cram-Martos stressed the significance of the seminar. She said Azerbaijan gained achievements in “single window” system.

Prior to the event, the participants visited the Alley of Honors to lay a wreath at the tomb of Azerbaijan's national leader Heydar Aliyev. They also visited the Alley of Martyrs to commemorate Azerbaijani heroes who gave their lives for the country's independence and territorial integrity and laid a wreath at the Eternal Flame monument.
