02 July 2010 [17:29] - TODAY.AZ
Co-Chairs of the OSCE Minsk Group Igor Popov (Russia), Robert Bradtke (U.S), as well as personal representative of OSCE Chairman-in-Office Andrzej Kasprzyk met with the head of the separatist "Nagorno Karabakh Republic", according to ArmeniaToday.
After the meetings, Igor Popov and Robert Bradtke said that the main topic of discussion were the issues voiced during the trilateral meeting of the Presidents of Armenia, Azerbaijan and Russia in St. Petersburg, as well as the incident at the frontline of Armenia and Azerbaijan on June 18.

"We once again expressed our concern in connection with the incident, which violated the ceasefire agreement of 1994. Such an incident could harm the process of peaceful settlement of the conflict. At the meeting the possibility of avoiding such incidents in future was discussed," Popov said.

Russian co-chairman also said that the status of self-proclaimed "Nagorno Karabakh Republic" must be resolved democratically. Co-Chairs also reported that in Yerevan they intend to meet with Armenian Defense Minister Seyran Ohanyan. During their visit to Baku they will meet with U.S. Secretary of State Hillary Clinton.

French co-chairman Bernard Fassier failed to come to Khankendi. However, tonight he will arrive in Yerevan. During his visit to Yerevan the mediators will also meet with Armenian President Serzh Sargsyan and foreign minister Edward Nalbandian.
