Greek President Karolos Papoulias will pay an official visit to Azerbaijan.

"President Ilham Aliyev paid a successful official visit to Greece in 2009. We are now interested in that President Papoulias made a return visit to Azerbaijan and as I know, the government considers this issue. The visit is expected to be held in the first half of 2011," Azerbaijani Ambassador to Greece Rahman Mustafayev told the Azerbaijani journalists in Athens.
"Azerbaijan and Greece are not limited only to the cooperation in energy sphere and political dialogue is very important here. Political dialogue is not limited to visits, the work between ministries and departments is important here," Mustafayev said.
"A friendship group between the two countries' parliaments has been recently formed and I'm glad that it included active Greek MPs. Last year, the Greek parliamentarian delegation visited Baku and Lankaran, now a return visit of the Azerbaijani parliamentarians is on the agenda," Mustafayev pointed out.
