Georgian and Azerbaijani speakers discuss intensifying inter-parliamentary relations

Georgian Parliament's Speaker David Bakradze and his Azerbaijani counterpart Oktay Asadov discussed at Cyprus the issue of intensifying inter-parliamentary relations, a source at the Parliament of Georgia said.
Meeting of Speakers of the two countries took place in Limassol within three-day conference of speakers of the European Parliament.

"Bakradze and Asadov noted the traditionally friendly relations between the two countries, which resulted from the friendly relations of both two nations and their leaders and agreed upon a number of joint activities for the intensification of inter-parliamentary relations," the Georgian Parliament said.

David Bakradze made a speech at the conference of Speakers of the European Parliament.

The conference was also attended by the leader of the parliamentary majority of Georgia Peter Tsiskarishvili and leader of the parliamentary minority Georgy Targamadze.
