
“Several meetings were held within the Eastern Partnership Program. The subcommittee on commercial issues will hold its regular meeting later in June”, Deputy Foreign Minister of Azerbaijan Mahmoud Mammadguliyev said.
He said Eastern Partnership Program was aiming to reach association agreement between the European Union and the participants of the initiative. “It aims to establish high-level cooperation and partnership between these countries. EU has already agreed to conduct negotiations with Azerbaijan, Armenia and Georgia”.
Mammadguliyev said first technical meeting between Azerbaijan and the European Commission would be held in Brussels on June 21 and it would focus on the technical issues mostly. “We will discuss coordination of our relations. This is very serious agreement and many organizations of Azerbaijan will take part in the negotiations”.
