Azerbaijani parliament's speaker to meet top Russian officials

Azerbaijani Parliament's delegation led by Speaker Ogtay Asadov will visit Moscow on the invitation of Chairman of Council of Federation of the Russian Parliament Sergei Mironov, spokesman for the Azerbaijani Parliament Akif Nasirov said.

Azerbaijani parliamentarians Arif Rahimzade, Mikhail Zabelin, Adil Aliyev, Rufat Guliyev, chief of the Parliament Administration Safa Mirzayev and other officials will accompany Asadov during the two-day visit on June 3-5.

“The Azerbaijani delegation will meet with President of Russian Federation Dmitry Medvedev, Chairman of the Council of Federation Sergei Mironov and Chairman of State Duma Boris Gryzlov.

The current state and prospects of development of bilateral relations, extension of inter-parliamentary relationship, solution to the regional conflicts and other issues will top agenda of the meetings. The delegation will also visit Azerbaijani embassy in Moscow and take interest in the activity of Azerbaijani Diaspora in Russia.
