Azerbaijan - an attractive country for foreigners

Mr. Rahimov highlighted on the economic accomplishments the Republic of Azerbaijan achieved last years, the reforms to promote quick and all-round development in the country. As was stated, Azerbaijan's development have attracted the foreigners to take close interest in Azerbaijan.

Many companies are keen to invest in the country's economy, and cooperate in implementation of various projects. Chief of Migration Service updated on the history of the Service, created on the Decree of the Head of State. The existing legislation on migration is constantly brought to the international standards to meet the modern requirements, he stressed.

Noting that Azerbaijan has become an attractive country for foreigners, Guillermo Bettocchi said migration of foreigners is regulated on requirements of national legislation. Parties expressed hope for further cooperation between Azerbaijan Migration Service and UNHCR regional Representation.
