Azerbaijan's Republic Day marked in Pakistan

The event brought together intellectuals, officials, diplomats, generals of the Pakistan Army, journalists and members of the Azerbaijani community. The hall where the event was organized was decorated with Azerbaijan`s national flags, portraits of national leader Heydar Aliyev and founder of Pakistan Muhammad Ali Jinnah and presidents Ilham Aliyev and Asif Ali Zardari.

The event participants were handed over books in English and Urdu languages featuring national leader Heydar Aliyev's life and activity. Zaheer-ud-din Babar Awan, Pakistan's Federal Minister for Law, Justice and Parliamentary Affairs congratulated the Azerbaijani people and President Ilham Aliyev on the occasion.
