Azerbaijani President received Egyptian delegation

President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev received an Egyptian delegation led by foreign minister Ahmed Aboul Gheit on May 24.
The Azerbaijani leader praised the relationship between the two countries. The President recalled the meetings he held during his official visit to Egypt, stressing the importance of holding joint events.

The Head of State expressed confidence that the Egyptian minister`s visit would contribute to boosting the bilateral relations. Aboul Gheit conveyed Egyptian President Hosni Mubarak`s greetings to President Ilham Aliyev, and handed over his letter to the Azerbaijani leader.

He praised development processes in Azerbaijan, in particular its stability and prosperity.
The Egyptian FM said he was impressed by state-of-the-art infrastructure and large-scale construction activities in the country.

President Ilham Aliyev said recent years had seen rapid development in all spheres of life in Azerbaijan. He said important projects were successfully being carried out in the country`s capital and regions. The Head of State underlined important measures were underway to turn Azerbaijan into a powerful and modern state. President Ilham Aliyev asked Ahmed Aboul Gheit to convey his greetings to the Egyptian leader.
