Ilham Aliyev offers his condolences to Abdullah Gul

Azerbaijan's President Ilham Aliyev has sent a letter of condolence to Turkish counterpart Abdullah Gul over a loss of human lives as a result of an explosion ripped through a major coal mine in the country.

“The news of a human loss as a result of the Karadon mine explosion in Zonguldak was a source of great sorrow to me,” the Azerbaijani leader said in his message.

“I share your grief, and on behalf of the people of Azerbaijan and on my own behalf, I offer sincere condolences to you, families and relatives of the dead and all the people of Turkey. May Allah rest their souls in peace.”
