Turkmenistan's embassy in Baku holds presentation of national tourism zone

Turkmenistan's embassy to Azerbaijan has held a presentation of “Avaza” National Tourism Zone.
Ambassador Annamammad Mammadov underlined the decision on establishment of the Zone was signed by President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov in 2007. The diplomat said the zone will cover 5000 hectares of area.

The tourism zone, which will be able to host 80.000 tourists at a time, will be built in 3 stages. The zone will also have a forest, 7km-long artificial river, 6 lakes and 11 beaches, as well as restaurants, cafes and bars.

The ambassador said 23.6 billion USD was allocated to construct the zone. He also invited businessmen to invest into the zone. The presentation ceremony gathered Azeri MPs, heads of tourism companies and businessmen.
