Azerbaijani ambassador to UK visits Denmark

Azerbaijan Ambassador to the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland Fakhradin Gurbanov has visited Denmark.

Gurbanov had a number of meetings with Danish officials, including Prime Minister Lars Lokke Rasmussen, Under-Secretary for European Affairs at Ministry of Foreign Affairs Ambassador Kim Jorgensen and officials of the Department for European Neighborhood and Russia of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

The ambassador informed Danish officials about political processes in Azerbaijan and the region.

They discussed current state and prospects for cooperation between Azerbaijan and Denmark, the peaceful settlement of the Armenia-Azerbaijan conflict over Nagorno-Karabakh and regional issues.

The Danish officials stressed the importance of strengthening cooperation between the two countries, in particular in the fields of economy and trade.

During the visit, the Ambassador met members of the Azeri community in the country.
