CIS PA prepares action plan on parliamentary election in Azerbaijan

International Institute for monitoring development of democracy, parliamentary system and the electoral rights of citizens of member states of the Inter-Parliamentary Assembly of the Commonwealth of Independent States is preparing a wide action plan in connection with the upcoming parliamentary elections in Azerbaijan.

"The action plan will reflect surveys and monitoring in different directions, enlightenment activities and monitoring activities," the press service of the Baku branch of the Institute said.

Regional headquarters of the Baku branch are planned to be organized in some regions of Azerbaijan during the parliamentary elections. "The plan will be approved soon and be implemented," the source sad.

The parliamentary elections were held in Azerbaijan in autumn 2010. Previously, elections were held in November 2005. In Azerbaijan, the parliamentary elections are held by the majority system in 125 constituencies.
