Azerbaijani MP: Number of films on Nagorno-Karabakh should be increased on television

12 April 2010 [18:27] - TODAY.AZ
According to the MP of the Azerbaijani parliament, the role of the press in bringing the truth about the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict to the international community and the country's public is great.

"The most important issue is increasing the number of films on television in order to comprehensively inform the youth about the atrocities committed by Armenians against Azerbaijanis," - MP Ganira Pashayeva said at the event on the topic "Karabakh and Azerbaijani press" held on the initiative of the Association of Parliamentary Journalists.

According to Pashayeva, bring the truth about Karabakh to the world community is also possible through our compatriots living abroad.

"It is necessary to hold larger research in the local press for this purpose," she said.

According to her, materials on the Nagorno-Karabakh, issued in the Azerbaijani press, and other materials exposing fictitious accusations of Armenians, should be translated into foreign languages.

"We should submit these materials in various international research centres. In addition, we will be able to spread the truth about the Nagorno-Karabakh through the various networks uniting Azerbaijanis living abroad," Pashayeva said.

"Today one of the important issues is the Armenian Diaspora organizations' counteraction activity," Vahid Ahmedov said while addressing at the event.

According to him, a very big work has been carried out in Azerbaijan in the sphere of the army building, and sooner or later, even by military way, the Nagorno-Karabakh will be liberated. "Given this, the number of TV programs on army building, on the military-patriotic theme, broadcasting on television, should be increased", he said.
