Iranian Interior Minister to visit Azerbaijan

Iranian Interior Minister Mostafa Mohammad-Najjar will pay a four-day visit to Azerbaijan May 4.
During the visit, Mohammad-Najjar will be accompanied by heads of the Iranian provinces of Gilan, East Azarbaijan, West Azarbaijan and Ardebil, representatives of the parliament and the foreign ministry and the deputy interior minister on security.

Mohammad-Najjar will also visit two regions of Azerbaijan.

Deputy Interior minister on parliamentary affairs Mehdi Muhammadifar said the minister will meet with the Azerbaijani President, the Ministers of Economy and Finance and representatives of the private sector.

The purpose of the visit is to increase the level of cooperation between the two countries in economic, social and cultural spheres, as well as intergovernmental cooperation, Muhammadifar said.

According to him, in the near future Mohammad-Najjarr is expected to visit Iraq, Turkmenistan and Kazakhstan.
