Azerbaijani President receives European Commissioner for Enlargement and European Neighbourhood Policy

Today, Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev received European Commissioner for Enlargement and European Neighbourhood Policy Stefan Fule.

President Ilham Aliyev described Fule's visit as “a good opportunity” to discuss “the developing” Azerbaijan-EU cooperation, in particular joint projects. The President expressed confidence the cooperation between the country and the organization would “cover more spheres in future”.

Fule said his visit was aimed at discussing the current state and exploring prospects of the bilateral cooperation.

The President and the European Commissioner also discussed the Armenia-Azerbaijan Nagorno-Karabakh conflict, Eastern Partnership program and energy cooperation.
