Presidential vote in progress in Ukrainian embassy to Baku

According to Maria Saidova, chairperson of the election commission at the polling station set up in the Ukrainian embassy in Baku, 29 Ukrainian voters cast their ballot by noon in the presidential election, which started today in Ukraine.

The voting is being normally conducted, said Ukraine`s ambassador in Azerbaijan Boris Klimchuk. He noted he wants to see Ukraine as a strong European country committed to democratic values.

The voting is observed by presidential candidate Viktor Yushchenko's bloc.
