Azerbaijan and Qatar signed an agreement on visa free travel for persons having diplomatic and special passports on Jan. 12.
The agreement has been signed by Azerbaijan's Foreign Minister Elmar Mammadyarov and State Minister of Qatar Sheikh Mohammed bin Khalid Al-Thani.

15:45During his official visit to Qatar Azerbaijani Foreign Minister Elmar Mammadyarov met with Qatar's sheikh Hamad bin Khalifa Al-Thani, Qatar's state agency QNA reported.
During the meeting Azerbaijani Foreign Minister delivered a letter to Qatar's Emir from Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev.

11:09Azerbaijani Foreign Minister Elmar Mammadyarov, who has been on an official visit to Qatar since Jan. 11, gave an interview to Al Jazeera channel, Foreign Ministry’s press office said.
On Jan. 12, Mammadyarov will meet with Minister of Finance and Economy of Qatar Yousuf Hussein Kamal, Emir of the State of Qatar Sheikh Hamad bin Khalifa Al-Thani, president of Qatar Information Union, information advisor of Qatari Emir Sheikh Hamad bin Samir Al-Thani and assistant executive director of Al-Diyar Al-Qatari company Dr. Isa Al-Fadala.
Following the meeting with Emir of the State of Qatar Sheikh Hamad bin Khalifa Al-Thani, Azerbaijani Government and Government of Qatar will sign an “Agreement on exemption of the visa requirements for the persons with diplomatic and special passports."
