Senior Azerbaijani official: Azerbaijani press experiencing a new stage of development

“We believe the policy that Azerbaijan pursues today and conditions established in media under the leadership of national leader Heydar Aliyev starting from 1998, removal formal regulation mechanisms in the press, abolition of censorship and attention and care of by President Ilham Aliyev contribute to development of both national and regional press,” Azerbaijani President Administration senior official Ali Hasanov told reporters on the sidelines of the conference.

"Today, the Azerbaijani press is experiencing a new stage of development. Our national press will further be an integral part of the Azerbaijani society and a process of building a democratic state. This public institute will cover the news happening in our country's life as they really are,” he said.
