Azerbaijani students set up Azerbaijani Students Youth Organization

Prior to the Congress, the participants visited the Alley of Honors to revere memory of the nationwide leader of Azerbaijani people Heydar Aliyev and laid a wreath at his tomb.

The Congress was attended by head of the President Administration, academician Ramiz Mehdiyev, Members of Parliament, ministers and heads of state committees.

Shahin Ismayilov, chairman of the Organizational Committee made opening remarks, stating on the goals of the Public Union.

Fatma Abdullazade, Head of the Humanitarian Policy Department of President Administration, read out President Ilham Aliyev`s congratulatory letter to the Congress participants.

Then, Congress participants adopted the Union`s Draft By-Laws and also elected the 59-member coordination council of the Organization. Also was elected the Union`s 7-member control-revision commission.

After voting, the Constituent Congress of the public union of “Azerbaijani Students Youth Organizations” elected Shahin Ismayilov as the Chairman of the Union.

Congress participants adopted an Address to the President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev and the country`s youth.
