OSCE holds information session on non-interference in electoral process in Ganja

OSCE Office in Baku organized information session on non-interference in electoral process in Ganja.
Head of the OSCE Office in Baku Ambassador Ali Bilge Cankorel, deputy chief of the public policy department of the Presidential Administration Arastun Mehdiyev, secretary of the Central Election Commission (CEC) Natig Mammadov, authorities of 28 cities and regions and 40 local election officials attended the session.

Cankorel said he hoped that joint efforts would make contribution to free and fair elections in Azerbaijan and promote more active and transparent voting process, which would improve international image of Azerbaijan.

The ambassador told journalists they met with political party officials in ten regions.

“We aim to assist more democratic elections in Azerbaijan”.

Cankorel said the OSCE wouldn’t observe the municipal elections on Dec. 23.

Earlier information sessions were held in Baku and Shirvan.
