Iran’s opposition claims religious leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei has died - UPDATE

Iran's Supreme Religious Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei has died.
Condition of 70-year-old Ali Khamenei deteriorated recently. Sources reporting the hospitalization of the ayatollah claim that a sharp deterioration was due to natural causes, that is, not because of poisoning. 

According to unconfirmed reports, the deterioration of Ali Khamenei’s health could be due to nervous exhaustion.

Information about the death of Ali Khamenei is spread by former presidential candidates Mir-Hussein Moussavi and Mehdi Karroubi who lost to incumbent President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad.  

The Web site of site The Daily Telegraph lists the signs of the death of Ali Hameneni. Building of state institutions are in black drapes and presenters of the Iranian television all began to wear only black.

Ali Khamenei became supreme leader of the Islamic Republic of Iran in 1989. Prior to that, he was president of the country for eight years. At that time Iran was waging war with Iraq.

Khamenei lost consciousness and was urgently hospitalized at 14:15 Baku time on Oct. 12.

According to some reports, the ayatollah is in a coma and only his son and personal physician was allowed in his ward. The opposition, however, claims that the Supreme leader of the country died on Oct. 14.

Condition 70-year-old Ali Khamenei deteriorated recently.
