Exact date for signing of Armenia-Turkey protocols announced

The signing ceremony will begin at 18.00 Turkey time (20.00 Baku time) at the Zurich University, Switzerland.

Turkish and Armenian foreign ministers Ahmet Davudoglu and Edward Nalbandian will sign the protocols.

U.S. Secretary of State Hillary Clinton, French foreign minister Bernard Kouchner, Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov, EU High Representative for foreign and security policy Javier Solana, Swiss foreign minister Michelin Calmy-Rey, EU President, Sweden foreign minister Carl Bildt, OSCE and UN officials will attend the ceremony.

The first round of two-year Turkish-Armenian negotiations brokered by Switzerland will be finalized today.

The protocols will be sent to the parliaments of Turkey and Armenia for ratification.
