Azerbaijan's embassy in Italy organizes a presentation in Venice

The event took place on October 6 in Venice at Foreign Trade Center of the Veneto Chamber of Commerce, bringing together over 20 Italian companies, representatives of the Confederation of Italian Industry (CONFINDUSTRIA), National Institute of Italy for Foreign Trade, General Union of Chambers of Commerce, Industry and Agriculture and other entities.

In his opening address Ambassador Emil Karimov dwelled on Azerbaijan’s economic growth, investment opportunities, and promotion of economic and trade ties between Azerbaijan and Italy.

Secretary of the Embassy M. Zulfugarov described the country’s developments in such areas as construction, ITC, road sector, agriculture, tourism, finance and banking. Furthermore, he said that swiftly developing hydrocarbon and non-oil sectors of Azerbaijan made it the region’s fastest growing economies.

The event also featured a short documentary “Welcome to Azerbaijan”.
