Azerbaijani president congratulates Nigerian, Chinese counterparts

President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev has sent a congratulatory letter to his Nigerian counterpart Umaru Yar`adua on country`s Independence Day.
In the letter, the President expressed hope that friendly and cooperative relations between Azerbaijan and Nigeria will continue to develop in line with interests of the two countries` peoples.

The Azerbaijani President wished Umaru Yar`adua all the best and the friendly people of Nigeria peace and prosperity.
 President Aliyev sent a message of congratulation also to President of the People`s Republic of China Hu Jintao on his country`s National Day – establishment of PRC.

In the letter, the Head of State praised the fact that relationship between Azerbaijan and China is expanding.

The President expressed confidence that “we will further make joint efforts to strengthen friendly ties between our countries and successfully continue bilateral cooperation in various spheres of mutual interest”.

The Azerbaijani leader wished Hu Jintao “robust health, successes in his activities, and friendly people of China - peace and welfare."
