Karabakh settlement process is independent and should move without any preconditions or linkages: OSCE Minsk Group

The OSCE Minsk Group Co-chairs Yuri Merzlyakov of Russia, Bernard Fassier of France and Robert Bradke of the U.S. today have made an official statement in which they again described the conditions under which the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict must be settled.
The Armenian Foreign Ministry's statement, sent to Mediamax, says: "The Co-Chairs would like to reaffirm the statement previously made by each of their government that the so-called Minsk process of the Nagorno-Karabakh settlement is an independent, must move forward in accordance with its own logic without any preconditions or linkages, and within a reasonable time, without the imposed acceleration or deceleration."

At present, the OSCE Minsk Group Co-Chairs are in Yerevan, where they will meet the Armenian President Serzh Sargsyan and Foreign Minister Edward Nalbandian.

On Oct. 2-3, the Co-Chairs will visit Khankandi, and then, on Oct. 4-6, - Baku. On Oct. 8, Chisinau will host the next scheduled meeting between the Presidents of Azerbaijan and Armenia.

"They will discuss the key remaining unresolved issues of basic principles of the Nagorno-Karabakh settlement," the OSCE Minsk Group Co-Chairs said in a statement.
