We take pride in nomination of Turkic world representative to post of PACE president: Azerbaijani MP

“We are all pleased with Chief Delegate of Turkey to PACE Movlut Chavushoglu’s nomination for PACE Presidency on behalf of the European Democrat Group”, Member of Azerbaijani delegation to PACE Ganira Pashayeva said.
She noted that they take pride in nomination of a representative of the Turkic world for presidency of the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe, one of the reputable political institutions of Europe.

"Elections have today been held in European Democrat Group. Two deputies were nominated from the EDG. Chavushoglu gained more votes than EDG Chairman David Wilshire and was officially nominated on behalf of the group. And we hope Movlut Chavushoglu will be the next president of PACE in 2010," she said.
