Azerbaijani defense ministry spokesperson: Armenians will regret their words

"The Armenian army is weak. Not only we, but all international organizations are aware of this,” Azerbaijani Defense Ministry Spokesperson Eldar Sabiroglu. said commenting on the statement by Armenian Defense Minister Seyran Ohanyan claiming that "the Armenian army is able to put an end to war dreams of Azerbaijan"

"Armenia has recently voiced ridiculous threats against Azerbaijan. This is not the first time the Armenian defense minister makes such statements,” Sabiroglu said.

"Armenia represent nothing on its own. Everyone knows to whom Armenia relies. Therefore, there is no need to believe and pay attention to such statements by the Armenian defense minister,” he said.

"The Armenian leadership, only relying on foreign support, can make such ridiculous statements. If the state which stands behind them will step aside, Armenians will regret their words. But, if necessary, Azerbaijan can give an adequate answer to such a threat by Armenia,” Sabiroglu added.

"We have repeatedly stated that we welcome resolution of the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict through peaceful negotiations, and such statements by Armenia only complicates the negotiation process,” Sabiroglu said.
 
"Azerbaijan can not endure occupation of its territories by Armenia to the end. If necessary, the Azerbaijani army is able to regain occupied territories. Azerbaijani army is strong enough unlike the Armenian army, whose soldiers cross border to Azerbaijan from hunger and unbearable conditions. They themselves admit it,” he said.

"So about what threats may a country whose army is in such poor condition speak? On what does Ohanian count,” Sabiroglu said.
