BBC News Web site contains a error related to Azerbaijan’s territorial integrity.
The page with
a brief information about Azerbaijan also includes country’s map where Nagorno-Karabakh has clearly marked borders.
The territory of Nagorno-Karabakh is clearly marked creating an impression that it is a separate state, but not an integral and inalienable part of Azerbaijan.
For comparison,
on English version of the same Web site only boundaries of the territory of Nagorno-Karabakh have been marked as if to show exactly where a zone of conflict is.
English versionRussian versionAdmittedly, Russian version of the Web site is not correct and needs correction. Especially given that the Russian Web site was last updated in 2008, the wrong map must be immediately replaced.
We urge our readers to express their protest against the error
on this Web site.
