24 September 2009 [12:42] - TODAY.AZ
“Territorial integrity and sovereignty are very important for every state. This problem should be solved in line with international law,” president of the Czech Senate Přemysl Sobotka told reporters in Baku.
Commenting on Czech Republic's position on the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict Sobotka said his country will insist on solving this problem under international law.

He said Czech Republic is interested in buying energy resources from Azerbaijan and the business forum in Baku will give an impetus to the development of the cooperation between the two countries.

“The delegation includes deputy ministers of finance and industry and 45 businessmen,” he said.

Sobotka said cooperation will be discussed within the framework of the Eastern Partnership program and noted that the program is realized during Czech chairmanship.

“We will do our best to improve this program,” he said.

Sobotka said he regrets that the U.S. has scrapped the missile defense plans.
