The first forum on civil society's cooperation as part of the Eastern Partnership will be held in Brussels in November, Giovanni Cremonini, Administrator of the European Neighborhood Policy, said at a news conference in Baku on Sept.17.
According to Cremonini, the EU attaches importance not only to the cooperation of heads of the countries, but also the cooperation of civil societies of the member-countries under the Eastern Partnership.

"We have created a special forum of civil societies," Cremonini said.

The Civil Society Forum as part of the "Eastern Partnership" will be held in Brussels on Nov.16-17, Cremonini added.

During the forum several working groups will discuss issues on which recommendations will be offered , Cremonini said. These recommendations will be presented at foreign ministers' meeting in December, the diplomat added.

"The Eastern Partnership will attach special attention to the civil society," Cremonini added.

The Eastern Partnership is the Polish-Swedish initiative in the neighborhood policy, aimed at improving the EU's relations with the post-Soviet countries. The program was approved at a meeting of the EU on March 20. Eastern Partnership will cover the six countries neighboring the European Union: Azerbaijan, Armenia, Georgia, Moldova, Ukraine and Belarus. The program targets assisting talks on establishment of free economic zones and agriculture products, as well as partner and visa agreements.
