Russia-Azerbaijan land border closed for Georgian nationals

Due to Georgia’s withdrawal from CIS nationals of this country can no longer enter into Russia through the land borders between Russia and Azerbaijan.
"Georgia's withdrawal from CIS on Aug. 18, 2009 will automatically exclude nationals of this country from list of foreigners who are allowed to enter and leave Russia through checkpoints along the Russia-Azerbaijan land border,” Russian Foreign Ministry said in a statement.
