Appointment of new cho-chairs of the OSCE Minsk Group will bring a new breath to resolution of the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict, Former U.S. Deputy Secretary of State Richard Armitrage told reporters in Baku.
“The conflict should be resolved by peaceful means. I think appointment of new co-chairs of the Minsk Group will bring a new energy,” Armitrage said.
Speaking about role of countries in the region in the conflict resolution, Armitrage also commented on Turkey-Armenia normalization.
“Turkey is a close friend of Azerbaijan. They share traditional values. Turkey will not sacrifice its relations with Azerbaijan. But Turkey-Armenia rapproachement will contribute to positive results,” the diplomat said.
