11 September 2009 [17:33] - TODAY.AZ
Russian President Dmitry Medvedev arrived in Kazakhstan on Friday, kicking off a tour of the energy-rich Caspian Sea region.
Medvedev and his Kazakh counterpart Nursultan Nazarbayev arrived in the city of Aktau on the Caspian shore, where they will hold a four-way summit with the leaders of Turkmenistan and Azerbaijan.

The talks "will touch on energy and Caspian Sea issues," the Kremlin said in a statement on Friday.

Medvedev, Nazarbayev, Turkmen President Gurbanguly Berdymukhamedov and Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev will meet in Aktau before heading to the Caspian beach resort of Kenderli for "informal talks," it said.

The Kazakh president's press service confirmed to AFP that he and Medvedev had arrived in Aktau after meeting earlier in the day in the Russian city of Orenburg.
