Azerbaijani opposition’s union to nominate candidates for majority of municipalities

The Union for Democracy includes the Classic Popular Front Party of Azerbaijan, Azadlig, the People's Party of Azerbaijan, Great Azerbaijan and the National Democratic Party of Azerbaijan.

He said the meeting focused on public and political situation in the country and worldwide.

It was decided at the meeting to determine list of candidates to be nominated by the union till end of the week.

“We are going to nominate candidates for majority of municipalities,” Oruj said.
 
The number of municipalities in Azerbaijan were reduced from 2,757 to 1,766 recently.
