U.S special envoy, Azerbaijani FM discuss energy problems

The meeting discussed the current state of the Azerbaijani-American relations, energy cooperation and the perspective energy projects in the Caspian Sea.

Morningstar will also debate in Baku the U.S. support for Azerbaijan in terms of development of diversified routes for oil and gas from the region to European and global markets, the U.S. Embassy in Azerbaijan said.

Earlier this week Morningstar visited Kazakhstan as part of his regional trip.

In spring 2009, the U.S. Secretary of State appointed Morningstar Special Envoy on the development of energy resources and their transit.
