Israeli ambassador to Azerbaijan comments on ties between two countries

Michael Lavon-Lotem presented his credentials to Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev on August 26.

"Relations between the two countries should develop through mediation of two nations. After the official visit of Israeli President Shimon Peres to Azerbaijan I saw this will and desire," Lavon-Lotem said.

He said that a basis has been already created.

"I can not say whether there are new projects for bilateral cooperation in the nearest future, but I see those businessmen who came with Peres to Azerbaijan are interested in cooperation," the ambassador said.

Israeli President Shimon Peres paid his first official visit to Azerbaijan on June 28-29.
