Azerbaijan’s ruling party sets up election office

Ruling New Azerbaijan Party’s Garadagh branch has held a meeting to prepare to the coming municipal elections to be held in December 2009, party’s press office said.
The party officials briefed on party’s tasks in a run-up to the municipal elections.

The election office will compose 23 people. The branch also approved action plan related to the municipal elections.

The number of municipalities was recently reduced from 2,757 to 1,766 in Azerbaijan.
