Azerbaijani, Armenian journalists visit Shida Kartli in Georgia

A year after the August war, a group of Azerbaijani and Armenian journalists visited Shida Kartli province in Georgia in a bid to get familiar with post-war situation.
The visit was organized by Institute for War and Peace Reporting. The journalists visited new refugee settlements in Berbuki and got familiar with their life conditions.

Head of the Gori municipality Zurab Chkheidze briefed the journalists on the size of damage the province suffered as a result of war, projects implemented by government and international organizations and ways to improve lives of refugees and situation in villages that border on conflict zone.

Institute for War and Peace Reporting regularly organizes similar meetings of Georgian and foreign journalists.
