Microsoft calls into question fact related to Azerbaijan’s territorial integrity (PHOTO)

The Web site of Microsoft, large multinational software producer, contains another gross error related to Azerbaijan’s territorial integrity.

On Azerbaijan’s map posted to Bing Maps Nagorno-Karabakh is indicated as a disputed territory (screen shots given below).

We believe that the company with a large share on Azerbaijani market is simply obliged to respect country’s territorial integrity.

This is not the first mistake of this kind made by Microsoft. Very recently, MSN Weather also showed Nagorno-Karabakh as disputed territory. The click on Khankandi indicates the city as Khankandi, Nagorno-Karabakh (disputed).

Following media reports about the error, Microsoft stated that the inaccuracy will be removed in a short period of time. However, the error has not been corrected yet despite 10 days have passed since then.

This makes one to think that such errors are not accidental. This is another incentive to ensure that Azerbaijan’s official bodies will send letter of protest to Microsoft.

We believe these errors are not deliberate and urge you to correct them as soon as possible.
