Leaders of Caspian littoral states to meet in Aktau

Leaders of the Caspian littoral states will meet in Aktau, Kazakhstan to discuss legal status of the Caspian Sea.
Kazakh President Nursultan Nazarbayev and Russian President Dmitry Medvedev have had a telephone conversation.

The heads of state discussed agenda of the forthcoming summit meeting in Orenburg as a part of the forum for interregional cooperation between Kazakhstan and Russia, as well as a wide range of issues of development of bilateral relations.

During the conversation the heads of state agreed to hold the informal meeting of presidents of Caspian countries in Aktau to discuss development of interstate relations and cooperation between the Caspian states including the progress in negotiations on the status of the Caspian Sea.
